This summer we have a number of learning opportunities for our students:

  1. Study Island – All students at Howard School (Grades 1 to 5) have access to a Study Island account.  This is a great way for our students to review math, writing and reading content.  To access Study Island, go to  If you cannot access your child’s account, e-mail Mr. Denison:  He will help you figure out your child’s correct username and password.
  2. TumbleBooks – Howard student may also access reading materials from a website called TumbleBooks =  The username for our students is ‘howardes’ and the password is ‘books’.
  3. The Howard School media center will be open from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. the following dates this summer:  June 25, July 2, 9, 16, 30, Aug. 6 & 13.
  4. The PTA Read-A-Lottery Program.  Encourage your child to read books this summer.  All books read should be recorded and turned into next year’s teacher in September.  Students will earn prizes for their participation.  The school goal is over 150 student readers who read over 8000 books.  You can do it!
