March is Reading Month-Howard Calendar!

Good Morning Howard Families!

How did March sneak up on us so quickly?! As the weather gets warmer and the sun is out more often, we want to encourage our children to get away from the screens and pick up a good book to read! I know this may sound old-fashioned to some of our children where the digital world has become the new norm, please help us encourage our children to read, read, read! This March, our theme is “Spring into Reading!” Please keep in mind that students can check-out books from the Howard library online and books will then be delivered to them during class. Here are the directions on how to check-out a book from the Howard library (it is the same process that students used for the curbside pick-up). https://howard.dearbornschools.org/2020/10/13/howard-library-curbside-pickup/

Also, to help promote this very special month dedicated to literacy, United States Senator Gary Peters and his staff have shared with us a video message to mark this year’s March is Reading Month celebration.
