Lockdown at Howard

Due to a bank robbery in the area, we were instructed to lock our building down early this afternoon (Monday, December 2nd). Once the building was secure, we were able to continue ‘business as usual’. All students remained in the building for the duration the emergency. All teachers and students were kept safe during the situation because we followed emergency procedures. About an hour after we secured the building, we were informed that the community was safe and to go about our normal duties. Thank goodness for a solid plan and our wonderful staff.

PBIS Reward for November – Cookie Decorating

To celebrate positive behavior choices for the month of November, we will be decorating cookies.  Cookie decorating will take place Tuesday afternoon on November 26th.
Students with no more than 6 yellow or 1 blue may participate.  (so, if they have 7 yellows or 2 blues they are out of the reward).  Also, students who have any red lights or any Office Discipline Referrals are also excluded from the celebration.

Planet Green Recycle

Yep, we know about that drawer of cell phones, old iPods and outdated cameras you have at home. Most people hang onto them because they know throwing them in the garbage is not a wise idea. Luckily you can ship them for free to Planet Green to be responsibly recycled.

Even better, did you know that by recycling these items with us, Howard Elementary School will receive payment for the value?

Ready to clear out that drawer?  Drop off the items at Howard School to be recycled by Planet Green.  Howard School receives $$$ for these items.

Collect & Send to Planet Green Recycle:

Inkjet Cartridges
Cell Phones
eBook Readers
Digital Cameras
GPS Units
Video Game Consoles/Handhelds

Only by working together can we make a difference.
