World Kindness Day
World Kindness Day is this Wednesday, November 13th.
Here at Howard, we have our very own Kindness Club!!
Join us on Wednesday in the cafeteria for a Parent/PTA meeting at 9:15 am
Our students in the Kindness Club will introduce themselves and tell us all about their contributions to the kindness club and how they are positively impacting our school!
Have your child wear a shirt with a kind message or do a kind deed for others. Some examples of kind deeds are:
- -Join a classmate playing alone at recess or eating alone at lunch.
- -Hold the door for someone.
- -Write a kind note to give to a classmate or teacher.
- -Ask someone about their day.
- -Compliment a classmate or teacher.
- -Befriend a new classmate.
- -Make a handmade card for someone.
- -Pick up trash on or around the school or in a neighborhood.
- -Help a classmate with challenging work.
- -Donate gently used clothing or toys to a local charity.
- – Paint a rock with a positive message and place it somewhere outside for someone else to find.
- -Post inspirational sticky notes around the classroom or school.
